Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

Prochoro is a study app for AP exams. This policy describes exactly what it stores, why, and how to get rid of it. It is short because the app collects very little.

Accounts are required

You need an account to use Prochoro, so your progress is saved and can follow you between devices. Earlier versions let you study as a guest, with progress saved only on your device. If you did, that progress is added to your account the first time you sign in on that device, unless your account already follows a different course, in which case it is left out.

What we collect

Your account. When you sign in we receive your email address, and — if you sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft — the display name on that account. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case we receive a private relay address from Apple instead. We never receive your password for those providers. If you sign up with an email and password instead, the password is stored hashed by our authentication provider and is not visible to us.

Your study progress. Everything the app shows you about your own learning:

What we do not collect

Why we collect it

Solely to run the app for you: to keep your place on the map across devices, to hold your streak, and to work out which topics to recommend you practise. Your per-topic accuracy is what drives the "weakest categories" list. None of it is used for anything else.

Where it is stored

Signed-in profiles sync with Supabase, which hosts our database and handles authentication. Access is restricted at the database level so other students cannot read or write your profile. Authorized service administrators may access data to operate the service. A local copy also supports offline study.

Sign-in with Apple, Google or Microsoft is handled by those providers, under Apple's, Google's and Microsoft's own privacy policies. We ask them only for your email address and basic profile.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We use the providers named above for authentication and hosting. They process the information needed to provide these services, subject to their own policies.

Deleting your account

You can delete everything from inside the app

Open Profile, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all the progress listed above. This removes the active database records and this device’s account cache and cannot be undone. Provider backups and operational logs follow the provider’s retention practices. You do not need to email anyone.

If you cannot reach the app for any reason, email the address below and we will delete it for you.

Deleting your account also erases any earlier guest progress saved on that device. Native device storage can survive reinstalling the app, so use the in-app delete action rather than only removing the app. Previously downloaded copies on other devices cannot be remotely erased while those devices are offline.

Children

Prochoro is intended for high-school students aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects what we collect, say so in the app.
